This is a story about a little worm who comes out to play during the rain. He loves being above ground but he loses track of time and ends up taking a nap out in the open. He is awakened by a hungry bird who has plans on eating the little worm for a snack. So he must figure out a way to get out of this sticky situation. But the bird is not the only animal that sees the little worm as a tasty meal and he must fend off these animals as well. If he wishes to make it back home safely, the little worm will have to use his quick wit to escape.
