Meet the Author:

V. Moua is a Hmong American writer. He is the author and illustrator of the SAMMY BIRD series, a picture book about a little red bird and his amusing misadventures with his friend, Turkey.

He resides in Minnesota with his wife, three sons and their dog.

From the Author:

I never imagined writing a single book in my lifetime, let alone a children’s book. In fact, I had no literary ambitions whatsoever. But after becoming a dad, I realized the most important job in my life was to be a loving father to my children. I couldn’t think of a better way to say this than to write a book. I named it, My Gift for You.

My first book was released in 2015 and as of 2022, I have published over 200 children’s books. My goal is to write over 500 books. I have no idea if I’ll ever reach that goal but it is something worth striving for as long as I enjoy writing and illustrating.

Books and Children:

As parents, my wife and I believe in the importance of reading books to our children. Reading time has always been a special period for our little family to bond. As an author, my goal is to create books that allow other families to laugh and enjoy spending time together as well.
